When evaluating surplus inventory, we look for complete sets, including the shaft washer, housing washer, and the cage assembly with rolling elements. Incomplete sets significantly reduce utility and value. We review both ball and roller thrust designs from recognized industrial manufacturers.
The condition of the raceways and rolling elements is critical for thrust bearings. We focus on unused, surplus, or obsolete inventory. If the bearings are out of their original packaging, they must be free of surface rust, contamination, and handling damage. For selected used inventory, clear evidence of condition and proper handling is required before any evaluation can proceed.
